Missouri SAR State Membership Meeting 2019

The meeting will be held April 26 thru April 27

All meetings and lodging will be at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel located at 3301 LeMone Dr, Columbia MO.

Room rates are $99.00 pus tax per room. All rooms have large beds, refrigerators, and easy access to meeting areas. Breakfast is not included in the rate. Parking is provided to all hotel guests on a complimentary basis.

Deadline for hotel reservations is April 5, 2019.

1) Go to HOTEL Enter the dates and under group code enter: SONSONA for a King with sofa sleeper ($99.00) or SONSONB for a double queen($99.00).

2) Call 1-800-MARRIOTT and give the above group codes

DRESS FOR THE WEEKEND: Comfortable business casual for daytime meetings; Friday night dinner will be "Business Attire" and Saturday night dinner will be "Black Tie". "Black Tie" could be a tux (if you have one); or dark business suit, kilt with formal jacket, Military formal attire, or a Color Guard uniform if you are in the Color Guard. It is appropriate to wear your neck ribbon and any SAR medals you have received over the years. White dinner jackets are worn by Minutemen at the National Congress and would not be suitable at this meeting.


MISSOURI AUXILIARY SAR - The ladies of the Auxiliary will have a special presence at the meeting, including their silent auction and general session. We welcome and appreciate their presence and help along with our DAR sisters.

TOUR - President Wayne Merrill has arranged for a tour of Maplewood House at 2:30 pm with a docent to give a guided tour for the ladies of the Auxiliary. At about 3:00 pm, they will move on to the Boone County History & Culture Center for a tour of the Museum Galleries and the Montminy Art Gallery. The tour will conclude at 4:00 pm. COM Merrill has arranged for these tours to be available at no cost to our ladies. Participants will travel to the tour by their own vehicles. HOTEL LIQUOR POLICY Our hospitality room in the Varsity room will offer Beer, (maybe wine),soft drinks, and snacks. The hotel insists that the alcoholic drinks STAY IN THAT ROOM . Hard liquor is available in the hotel bar and that may be carried out into the rest of the property. In other words; "What happens in the hospitality room, STAYS in the hospitality room".


Members and friends are invited to contribute toward convention expenses. Contributors will be recognized in the convention program.
